IROQUOIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL receives national 180 Award for outstanding achievement in LITERACY & MATH.
Among the winners are THAYER T., MRS. MANNARELLI, AND MISS KRAFT, who have been praised for their remarkable growth both inside and outside of the classroom.
Iroquois Elementary announced that one of its students Thayer T., and two educators, Mrs. Mannarelli, and Miss Kraft have been selected as a recipient of the 2024 National 180 Awards. These awards recognize the progress made by students in the areas of literacy, math, and personal development beyond their academic pursuits. The awards also acknowledge educators who are dedicated to guiding their students toward success. The 18th annual 180 Awards program is organized by HMH, a leading learning technology company that honors exceptional students and educators for their remarkable growth both inside and outside the classroom.
This year, HMH received an overwhelming number of nominations—nearly 400 in total—for the 180 Awards. Among these exceptional submissions, a selected group of 8 Read 180 Stage A Educators emerged as winners. Mrs. Mannarelli is one of the two educators chosen from the whole state of PA for Read 180 Stage A. Additionally, her colleague, Ms. Stephanie Kraft, who works with Math 180, was nominated, and won a 180 Award this year for her exceptional work. Miss Kraft is the only Math 180 educator to win in the state of PA. Lastly, student Thayer T. of Iroquois Elementary School is also the only Read 180 Stage A student to win in the state of PA.
Winners are selected based off demonstrated improvements in reading or math through the use of Read 180® or Math 180® as well as showing exceptional dedication to continuous improvement and academic growth.
