social media

Good Morning,

A few members of our school community have reached out with concerns about social media warnings about school shootings.   Iroquois School District has not been associated with any of these social media threats.   We have been in contact with our local police and other law enforcement agencies regarding this nationwide threat.  Over the last week or so there have been threats made to hundreds of schools across the country.    Law enforcement agencies believe that these threats are being generated outside of our country and that they are meant to disrupt or cause concern within our communities.   We have asked our local police to increase patrols around our schools and we have put other measures in place to keep our students safe.

If we discover that there is any direct threat to our schools, we will take immediate action to ensure the safety of our students.

As always, if you have any information regarding a threat to our schools, please contact the police or contact the State’s Safe to Safe program at  1-844-723-2729.
