GIRL'S SOFTBALL - The softball team will be playing at Penn State Behrend on Monday, May 20th at 1:00 pm. Due to the current testing window, students will not be excused to attend this game. The only exception will be siblings bringing a parental note to the attendance office first thing Monday morning. IHS students will be excused to attend the second round playoff game with parental permission. Good luck Lady Braves.

Please note, that this information must be provided to the guidance office NO LATER THAN Friday, MAY 24th at 8:00 AM in order for it to be included in the Senior Awards Ceremony.

The next round of FREE sports physicals will be at the high school next Thursday, May 16th. These physicals are good for the 2024-2025 sports season. For your student to receive a sports physical we must have a complete PIAA CIPPE turned in by Wednesday. Contact czimmerman@iroquois.iu5.org with questions. Packets can be picked up in the office, library, or online through the athletics page.

Tonight we celebrate our Softball Seniors as they take on the Eisenhower Knights. Senior recognition will take place before the 4:30 PM game.

Sports physicals for the 2024-2025 school year will occur during the school day on May 9, 16, and 23 beginning at 8 am. The PIAA CIPPE form must be completed by parents and returned to the school before the physical can be given. Forms have been distributed to students and are available in the high school library or online. Contact czimmerman@iroquois.iu5.org with questions.

The National Honor Society chapter has made a generous donation of $800.00 to The Upper Room of Erie, a men's shelter downtown. Today, our N.H.S. officers represented the chapter when they presented the check to the nonprofit organization. This amount of money was raised through our Pancake Breakfast that took place a couple of weeks ago. The Upper Room of Erie provides a safe and welcoming place for Erie’s poor and homeless year-round. Service is one of the pillars of N.H.S. and this year’s group really has made an impact within our community.

ATTENTION SENIORS: SCHOLARSHIPS: Reminder that the local/community scholarships (packet you received from Mrs. Cashdollar) are due to the counseling office no later than Friday, May 3, 2024, by 2:40 pm!!! The scholarship must be completed (with all required documents) at the time of submission for it to be considered. If you need new copies, please stop by the counseling office.

With the upcoming PSSA's, to provide your students with the best opportunity for success, make sure they all get a good night's sleep. Encourage them to try their hardest. We will be providing breakfast for all of the students. Also, there will be no electronic devices (phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) permitted in the classrooms during testing. Please have your child keep these devices at home or in their lockers. ELA 4/23-25, Math 4/30-5/1, and Science (8th grade only) 5-7-8/2024.
